Alnico ll Blues=5 Stars

After listening to a demo of the Alnico II Blues I got a set as an alternative to the Fender Fat 50 s which I had in a couple of Strats ....IMHO these pickups hold their own against the Fat 50 s and would be a perfect upgrade . I'm looking at the others in the lineup for another one of my Strats...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Cheers ..Adrian Heazlewood..

A+

Very good pickups and fast delivery. Tone aside for a moment… I would like to applaud the customer service and technical help of this company. Being based in the U.K it was easy to clarify some wiring options and update my order. Thank you.

perfect

I have an old ESP Strat, a guitar I’d bought during the 1980s. Although the guitar’s “Dire Straits” tone played a big part in my choosing the guitar, over the years I gradually stopped wanting to play it. The pickups, that once sounded so good to me, compared with my Tele, seemed particularly weak and pathetic. It was irritating having to make adjustments to the volume on my amp every time I swapped guitars. Basically, I wanted to keep the guitar’s original tonal characteristics but yearned for more oomph!

The Tonerider Alnico II Blues for Stratocasters have been the perfect upgrade. I get the beautiful, clear, ringing tone and snappiness I always associate with the strat but with added sparkle and punch. Yes, punch. Although the alnico II magnets are rated as a weaker gauss, I’m totally satisfied with their output. There’s nothing slack about these Toneriders. I could not be happier about making this choice of pickup!

Beautiful Pickups

Beautiful pickups. I was worried that these would be too hot but they are just right. Being alnico 2s it has a sweeter top end and looser bottom than alnico 5s. I was worried that they wouldn’t sound very stratty but I was dead wrong. They sound great clean and dirty and worked well in a bright ash/maple neck strat.
