Dutch musician, Werner Rinia from the band GAIV, used our custom shop services to create his dream strat pickup set for his black Japanese '54 RI . Werner asked for polished round alnico poles with our popular Classic Blues wind, and we were happy to oblige. Here's what Werner has to say about the results: "I installed the custom Tonerider pickups together with an EC midboost, and replaced the saddles with titanium versions and I now have a guitar that amazes me every time I pick it up. Sound is crisp, and unbelievably tight and straight. Strum it, and it's like a harp. Chords are well defined and balanced; better than the Clapton Strat. Or any other that I've played in the past 23 years. Sounds are versatile, deep and clear. Fromkiller highs that don't actually kill because they stay away from anything remotely to do with shrillness, to deep, clear neck tones that go straight through your belly, this beauty will deliver it all. To make a long story short; I've got a winner. I owe Tonerider a lot of thanks for their service, personal attention and -of course- the best pickups I've come across in years. I 'm a fan."

Pete Cornelius and The DeVilles have set the pace for many Aussie touring rhythm & blues bands. It's hard to pin point exactly what these boys are layin' down. Some say it's a mix of vintage West Coast Jump Blues with a Texan backbeat. Some just say it's damn good music! Whatever you want to call it, The DeVilles sure have their roots deep in that early American sound, when hollow-body guitars and fat gas guzzlin' Cadillacs roamed the streets.
Pete, winner of the 2007 Bluestar Award is the latest artist to discover Tonerider pickups. He is using our Pure Vintage set to belt out his signature vintage strat blues sound. Catch Pete & the DeVilles back in Australia after US and UK engagements at the Launceston Blues Festival on October 26th. Visit Pete on myspace here.

How do Tonerider users in Chile decide between our three humbucker models: the PAF-infused Alnico IV Classic, the smooth and searing Rocksong model, and the full-on power of the Generator? Simple. Create a custom three-pickup guitar to showcase all three. More fantastic work from Goya Luthiers and our local representative, Marcelo Jara.

All the way from Bologna in Italy comes the amazing guitar collection of Alessandro Guidice. Alessandro is, as far as we know, the first Tonerider customer who has installed all four of our stratocaster pickup models (Pure Vintage, Classic Blues, Surfari and City Limits). Rounding out the collection is a lovely cream HSH strat, featuring Tonerider Alnico V Generators humbuckers in the neck and bridge. Fantastic work and a beautiful strat collection!

Luke at Rebel Relic in Amsterdam is now our sole dealer in the Netherlands, and is using Tonerider pickups exclusively on his line of Telecaster and Stratocaster relics!
"I find the Pure Vintage set to be very versatile and generally sweet sounding at low and high volume - From slightly innocent white chocolate sweet to, sinful dark chocolate. They have a very flexible palette to work off of. My favorite thing about the TRT1's is that it can jump from light to fright and you can still hear that it's from the same guitar with the same underlying sweetness to the tone."

A nice review of our City Limits set from
John in France via PowerHouse Music. The City Limits
feature an overwound bridge with sweeter magnets than your
average pup...
"Tonewise I'm very pleased - the mid and
neck pickups are not so very different to the old Seymour
Duncans (but with better cross-string balance now I've
sorted the top E, and slightly more natural sounding) and
the bridge pickup is MUCH better - louder and not so harsh.
Qualitywise they're very nice, and the little details like
the screws, circuit diagram etc are excellent."
Beautiful guitar John - a real stunner of
a strat!

Generator Pickups in gorgeous Ernie
Ball MusicMan Clone.
"These
pickups (I used the Generator set) replaced a pair of Tom
Anderson pickups (their HO1+ and HO1- models) The Andersons
were great sounding pickups, but a bit too 'polite' for this
particular application (a luthier built Ernie Ball EVH model
clone). The Generators ended up being a better fit - they've
got a strong, defined tone in higher gain situations, and
they're decent clean as well. And the 'coil tapped' sounds
are nice as well - I have them wired to 'split' using a mini
toggle, and in this guitar they sound a bit like a Tele on
steroids in this mode." Barryj61 from harmony-central.com

Luthier and Amp tech, Andy Mazur has built a killer
thinline tele with our "Hot Classic" neck
pickup paired with a Filtertron. Here's the result, straight
from the horse's mouth: "Your pickup performs way beyond my
expectations and is as good as a fender original vintage pup i have
fitted as part of a set in another guitar.- thanks however for a
great product at a great price. You will be
my first stop in future for these pickups - loads of spank and
snap."
