Stunning work from part-time California luthier Mike Bernatzki - a metallic blue tele with a mint green pickguard. Mike chose our Hot Classic Neck pickup (TRT2N-NK) which is one of the only production telecaster neck pickups inthe world to use German-silver for the cover. The bridge pickup is our Alnico IV Classic (AC4N-NK), also featuring our German-silver covers. German-silver, also called nickel-silver is our favourite material for making all kinds of pickup covers - its far more tonally transparent than brass, meaning the detail and nuance of your playing is kept intact. Teles with buckers and trems....lovely!

Our humbucker sized Rebel 90s pickups have rapidly become an Australian favourite, outselling even our Pure Vintage strat set last month - but would they work in an arch top? Michael in Sydney, Australia changed the Gibson 57 Classic Humbuckers in his ES-175 and sent in the following review. "I play R&B Blues, and I wanted more bite like my old 1968 ES 330 that I foolishly sold 15 years ago. Would hum size single-coils sound good in a full body jazzer? Should I have bought an established (more expensive) USA brand version? The next morning, when I plugged straight in to my Mesa Boogie F30 head/112 cab (clean channel), all doubts evaporated. Gone are the dark, woolly tones of the humbuckers, now I have crisp, tight tones with just the right bottom end. Vitally, the warm woody fatness of the guitar is still there and you can still dial in great jazz tones if you want it. Crisp and warm without harshness, punchy yet creamy. I'm really happy."

British Guitarist Simon Forrester has upgrade his Gibson Les Paul '91 Classic with Tonerider Alnico IV pickups, and it is looking very handsome indeed. Simon had the following kind words to say about the AC4's: "I love the tonal balance, the clarity and the responsiveness of these AC4s. Plenty of bite and punch when you want it but they mellow out so nicely with the volume and tone knobs rolled back. I've had various high-end pickups in there over the years, but nothing that has really set off the acoustic tone of the guitar and brought it to life. I really think I've struck gold with the AC4s!"

If you’re a player with a few guitars under your belt, there comes a time when youlust for a guitar that is special. Yours. It’s the one where everything is how you like it… just that little extra fretboard width to accommodate your fat fingertips… that honky flash of gold and abalone… that shape and colour that you just can’t get off the shelf. Australian Thrash Metal band Truth Corroded has released 'Upon The Warlords Crawl' It is available now in all good stores Australia wide, so if you thought that the bands first song to be posted on myspace 'Decimate' was devastating, then prepare for an onslaught!!
The bands strongest recording from its most formidable line up, 'Warlords' is dark and extreme thrash that will appeal to fans of late eighties/early nineties bands such as Slayer, Testament, Sepultura and Dark Angel as to fans of bands such as Lamb Of God and Chimaira.
From the neck snapping 'Crown The Apocalypse' and 'We Are Failed' to the Neurosis inspired darkness of 'Buried Alive By Demons' and 'Despair Your Black Earth', the album backs up its confronting lyrical stance with sheer devastating thrash that will slay your neck and declare total war on the sounds of the weak - Truth Corroded are ready to battle!
Guitarist Corey Grieve has switched to Tonerider Generator pickups in his Ibanez RGT42.

Jim McLachlan has been a part of the UK music scene since the 60s and switches between drums, vocals and lead guitar with ease. He installed a set of our Pure Vintage strat pickups in his 62 Reissue strat and has the following kind words to say: "Having tried just about every Strat pickup you can get including, CS54's, 57/62's, CS69's, Abigail Ybarra SE, Bareknuckle Apache, Kinmans etc etc. I happened upon "Tonerider Vintage Strat Pickups" and I am absolutely knocked out by them. They are without doubt the best pickups I have ever heard. Stacks of clarity, bottom end nice and full but not muddy, great mids and well defined highs that are not thin. I just love them." But even better than kind words, Jim has allowed us a sneak preview at some Hank Marvin-inspired recording he has been doing recently and we have to agree...the guitar tones, like the playing, are soaked in the classic era of the British single coil sound - Vox Amps, Fender guitars and sweet singing top ends. Enjoy!

Luke Whitfield at RebelRelic continues to amaze the Tonerider crew with his superb luthiery skills and rock n'roll aesthetic. He understands that making guitars look beat up isn't about sandpaper and scuff marks, but about getting a guitar with unsurpassed playability, a "lived-in" feel and stacks of visual mojo. It's about creating instruments that are so desirable that a new, super-shiny poly coated instrument just isn't going to cut it. Tonerider Classic Blues strat pickups feature in his latest build - Luke calls it his "Take-it-anywhere Axe". More info at rebelrelic.com
